Gelateria Gentile has two locations in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and West Village (Manhattan). Italian gelato is divine. I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect gelato in the United States, and it simply isn’t the same.
On a trip to Italy, I ate gelato every day. (No exaggeration!) It is luscious. It is creamy. And the flavors! But, in the United States, I find gelato to be hardly distinguishable from ice cream.
Go here. Immediately. It is the closest to Italian gelato that I’ve found to-date. Note, it melts very fast, so bring wipes for easy clean-up.
Gelateria Gentile has cups made of ice cream cone – the perfect answer to someone who doesn’t like the bottom of their cone dripping. If you choose cup, rather than a cone, each serving is topped with a mini cone, so you can still get that little bit of crunch.
